Descripción

Esta sesión vislumbra economías que sostienen la Vida en lugar de dominarla, explorando la transición de modelos extractivistas a modelos regenerativos, articulados junto a los pueblos indígenas. Abordaremos cómo las economías pueden respetar los límites ecológicos, nutrir la diversidad biocultural y garantizar la reciprocidad con los territorios vivos. Además, destacaremos el papel de nuevos modelos de inversión de impacto en la protección de las bioculturas. Moderador: Joshua Fouts.

Indigenous affairs specialist

Jairo Lima is an Indigenous affairs specialist with more than 30 years of experience working with indigenous peoples, particularly in the Juruá region of Acre. He works at the National Indian Foundation (FUNAI) and serves as a Senior Advisor to the Yorenka Tasorentsi Institute. A musician and partner at the record label Sananga Records, Jairo is also involved in the production and promotion of indigenous artistic expressions. He has been a member of the organizing committee for the Indigenous Ayahuasca Conference since its first edition, promoting the exchange of knowledge between indigenous and non-indigenous communities.

Azadeh Momenghalibaf
Systems-change strategist

Azadeh Momenghalibaf is a systems-change strategist and ecosystem weaver working at the intersection of health, philanthropy, and regenerative futures. She currently serves as Steward of Biological Wealth at Project Biome, where she is developing the Biome Flow Fund—a regenerative capital vehicle aligning finance with ecological restoration and community resilience. She previously served as Program Manager at the Transition Resource Circle (TRC), organizing wealth holders toward post-capitalist futures, and spent over a decade at the Open Society Foundations advancing global health and access to medicines. She also served as Senior Advisor to the WHO Council on the Economics of Health for All. Her work focuses on how we transform systems to address the meta-crisis and advance life-affirming futures.
