Raine Piyãko
Indigenous Leader

Raine Piyãko is one of the main leaders of the Ashaninka People in the state of Acre and serves as vice president of the Yorenka Tasorentsi Institute. Since the age of nine, he has accompanied his father, Benki Piyãko, the institute’s president.

As a political leader, he works to defend Indigenous rights, value traditional knowledge, and promote intercultural dialogue. He participates in national and international forums dedicated to environmental preservation, the rights of Indigenous peoples, and the recognition of traditional medicines such as ayahuasca. He helped organize the III, IV, and V Indigenous Ayahuasca Conferences.

In addition, Raine dedicates himself to artistic production. As a musician, he uses art as a powerful form of cultural and spiritual expression for the Ashaninka people.
