Sidarta Ribeiro holds a Master’s degree in Biophysics from UFRJ (Federal University of Rio de Janeiro), a PhD in Animal Behavior from Rockefeller University, and a postdoctoral fellowship in Neurophysiology from Duke University. He is a full professor of Neuroscience and co-founder of the Brain Institute at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), and a researcher at the Center for Strategic Studies of Fiocruz. He has published over one hundred scientific articles in international journals. Among other books, he is the author of “The Oracle of Night” (Companhia das Letras) and “The Flowers of Good” (Fósforo).
