A Sentença de Pawa
(Shãtsi Piyãko, J. Amorim & J. Pimenta).
This film offers a look at the art of weaving among Ashaninka women of the Apiwtxa village, Kampa Indigenous Territory of the Amônia River (Acre). An exclusively female activity, Ashaninka weaving weaves together mythological stories, ecological knowledge, and meticulous technical skill passed down through generations, forming a fundamental part of how an Ashaninka woman inhabits the world.

Brigadas
(Robin McKenna & Mark O’Fearghail).
In Colombia’s Putumayo region, every family has been afflicted by a war spanning more than three generations. Healing brigades of traditional doctors travel to remote communities to work with yagé — a sacred traditional medicine — to heal trauma, strengthen leadership, and help solve internal issues.
