Xiti Nukini
Traditional chief / rapé master
Brazil

Xiti is a traditional chief and rapé master of the Nukini people, of the Pano linguistic family, in the Nukini Indigenous Land, Alto Juruá region, Acre, Brazil. Leading the Recanto Verde community, he has dedicated himself to the cultural revival of the Nukini — the “People of the Jaguar” — after near-extinction during the rubber boom, preserving and transmitting rapé-making techniques, sacred songs, and spiritual practices.
