Independent Workshop*
The World Ayahuasca Forum is conceived not only as a space for dialogue, learning, and intercultural exchange, but also as an opportunity to create relationships and commitments that endure beyond the gathering itself. As a symbol of this intention, local authorities, representatives of the city of Girona, and members of the Indigenous delegation will come together to plant a tree.
This collective act represents the legacy that the Forum seeks to leave in Girona: a living reminder of the encounter between Indigenous peoples, local communities, researchers, practitioners, artists, and allies from around the world. Rooted in the earth and growing over time, the tree will symbolize connection, reciprocity, continuity, and the shared responsibility to care for the relationships established during the Forum.
More than a commemorative gesture, the planting invites us to consider what it means to gather respectfully in a territory and to leave something meaningful for future generations. It marks the beginning of a relationship between the Forum and the city—one that we hope will continue to grow, strengthen, and bear fruit long after the event has ended.
We invite all Forum participants to join this meaningful moment and become part of the living legacy we will leave together in Girona.
